OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Çağ Çelik Endüstri A.Ş. follows an environmental management policy based on national environmental legislation and international environmental standards, efficiently utilizing financial resources and placing sustainability at its core.
We identify risks within the scope of our activities and ensure full compliance with legal requirements; we monitor greenhouse gas emissions and report them transparently, and we prefer clean production technologies aimed at reducing waste at its source. Through environmentally responsible investments, we take necessary precautions and create healthy and safe structures by considering environmental impacts in our new investments.
We promote environmental awareness among our employees, suppliers, and all stakeholders; under the leadership of senior management, we continuously improve our environmental performance and regard the environment as a trust that must be protected for future generations. As Çağ Çelik A.Ş., one of the leading companies in the Steel Sector, with the awareness of bearing the responsibility of Energy Management System, throughout the energy consumption, optimization and production value chain;

We accept and undertake to use our energy and natural resources efficiently by respecting life,
To continuously improve our studies on energy performance and Energy Management System, to make them environmentally and economically sustainable with our practices compatible with the environment and supporting social development,

To provide necessary human, financial and other resources to achieve targeted energy performance (efficiency in use and consumption) and to use them in the most optimum way,
To comply with energy regulations, standards and other conditions by following innovations in the sector and directing the sector,

To review and improve within the framework of our targets and objectives in certain periods by integrating Energy Management System into our corporate management practices,

The project, whose foundation was laid in 2013 on the Karabük University campus, features a 3,000 m² library and a 2,000 m² exhibition hall. Equipped with the latest technological tools, the facilities were opened for students’ use in the 2017 academic year.

Güleç Children’s Homes

Due to the inadequate and outdated conditions of the Bulak Children’s Home, operated by SHÇEK in Bulak village the birthplace of Mr. Kamil Güleç, Chairman of the Board of Çağ Çelik he decided in 2008 to build a new children’s home. The villa home system, newly implemented in Turkey, was launched in 2009 under the name Güleç Sevgi Evleri with 5 villa homes. In each home, 13 children aged 6-12 live under the supervision and care of mothers and caretakers. Beyond meeting the housing needs of a total of 52 children, volunteer teachers who are members of the Güleç Sevgi Evleri Sustenance Association provide supplementary lessons to enhance the children’s school success. All members of the Güleç family continue to dedicate their efforts to the future of these children.
