Between 2018 and 2019, Kamil Güleç served as Chairman of the Board at Kardemir A.Ş., and between 1995 and 2017 he held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board. He is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Çağ Çelik A.Ş. Prior to 1995, he served as President of the Karabük Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also acted as Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Committee during the privatization process of Karabük Iron and Steel Works.
Between 1978 and 1979, he completed his investment and commissioned his own hot rolling mill facility. In the 1980s, with the initiation of export activities, he started the production of light commercial bars.
Due to his significant social responsibility projects (Güleç Sevgi Evleri and Kamil Güleç Library), he was awarded the “Outstanding Service Award” by the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye in 2010.
Kamil Güleç graduated in 1969 from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences and Economics, Department of Industrial Management and Economics.
Born in Karabük in 1973, Hüseyin Çağrı Güleç completed his primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Karabük College. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University and his master’s degree in Business Administration from Istanbul Technical University. He also participated in the Executive Finance program at the University of California, Berkeley, and received specialized training in foreign trade in Türkiye.
Güleç began his professional career during his university years by taking on roles at various levels within the family companies and has been actively involved in professional business life since 1999. In 2000, he took part in the establishment of the export department at Çağ Çelik A.Ş., contributing significantly to the company achieving export leadership in its sector in a short period of time.
Between 2002 and 2021, he served as General Manager of Çağ Çelik A.Ş., leading investments that significantly increased the company’s production capacity and product diversity. Today, Çağ Çelik A.Ş. is among Türkiye’s largest industrial enterprises and exporters.
During the same period, he contributed to the growth of group companies operating in various sectors including healthcare, cement, logistics, fuel, engineering, industrial gases, construction, agriculture, and international trade. The group currently operates with more than 1,200 employees and an annual export volume of 120 million USD.
Güleç has previously served as a board member in several prominent organizations, particularly KARDEMİR A.Ş. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Member at Çağ Çelik A.Ş., while continuing his board memberships in various companies across different sectors.
Fluent in English, Hüseyin Çağrı Güleç is married and the father of three children.
Ercüment Ünal graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Çukurova University in 1991. In 1993, he earned his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university and worked as a Lecturer for three years.
In 1995, he transitioned to the private sector and, over a 15-year period, held various senior positions at Ekinciler, İsdemir, and Erdemir, including Industrial Engineering Manager, Marketing Manager, Purchasing Director, and Sales & Marketing Director. At the end of 2013, he served for 1.5 years as Board Advisor and CTO at the former British Steel plant in the UK, later known as SSI UK.
In February 2015, he returned to Karabük Iron and Steel Works as Deputy General Manager of Commercial Affairs. Between the end of 2016 and the end of 2018, he served as CEO of Kardemir A.Ş. for two years.
Since mid-2021, he has been serving as General Manager of Çağ Çelik A.Ş., and as of the beginning of 2026, he has also taken on the roles of Board Member and Executive Committee Member.
